There are several workshops happening during the Cleveland Mini Maker Faire that require pre-registration. These activities can either be enjoyed by a single participant or as a parent/child team (one kit per team).
These workshops all result in a terrific take-home work of Maker art and are FREE! However, space is limited so sign up early to ensure you get a spot.

Make and Take Glowie Monster Workshop
Two sessions: 10AM & 2PM
In this workshop participants will make a little stuffed animal Glowie Monster with LED lights for eyes that light up when you squeeze its tummy. Participants will learn some basic electronics, along with basic sewing and soldering techniques. No previous experience with electronics or sewing is required. This workshop is suitable for children, teens, and adults (although we ask that for younger children 8 and under the parents stick around to supervise).
Make and Take Solar Flowers
Three Sessions: 10AM, 1PM, 3PM
The solar flower workshop will teach students how to use a simple solar panel and motor to create an animated spinning flower. Students will learn about basic electronics and solar power and will see work by other artists who use solar power. Ages 8 and up Soldering, basic electronics, gear ratios, solar power -each participant will make and walk away with their own solar powered flower.
